Love it. I had no idea when I posed for this photo that it looked like I had my finger up this topiary's nose.
I had no idea shrubbery shaped like animals was such a vital thing to Washington's troops and their moral. You learn something new every day.
I would think that the colonials would have found such a garden terrifying and instead of taking a leisurely stroll would go off half cocked, shooting wildly into the hedges.
Also: I'm totally changing my name to Ray Wilhelm Ludolf Gerhard Augustin Madrich Estonich Valvonet Candor von Gunn.
